Founded in 2013, our church serves as a cornerstone for the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo community in the Piedmont Triad, offering spiritual guidance and cultural connection.

We strive to preserve our traditions while expanding our mission through planned facilities that cater to the local Ethiopian diaspora and the wider community.

The Story of Our Church

Debre Mehret Medhanealem was established in 2013, aiming to provide a home for Ethiopian Orthodox believers and promote cultural heritage in North Carolina.

Since our inception, we have grown into a vibrant community, dedicated to worship, outreach, and building a new facility to meet our expanding needs.
